- This broad-based database is comprised of articles from hundreds of popular magazines and scholarly journals, dozens of current newspapers and newswires, thousands of television and radio transcripts, photographs and maps, and numerous reference books. The database can be searched by subject and all articles may be printed from the computer screen or e-mailed.
- This database, searchable by subject and author, provides full-text articles from five of the major U.S. newspapers. The coverage of the papers is as follows: Christian Science Monitor, 1995+; Los Angeles Times, 1986+; New York Times, 1999+; Wall Street Journal, 1986+; and Washington Post, 1997+. Articles can be printed from the computer screen or emailed.
General Science- This database indexes and abstracts articles from English-language periodicals published in the United States and Great Britain and provides the full text of selected periodical articles. Subjects include: astronomy, atmospheric science, biology, botany, chemistry, conservation, earth science, environment, food, genetics, health, mathematics, medicine, microbiology, nutrition, oceanography, physics, physiology, and zoology. Periodical coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals. Indexing begins in 1984, but abstracting coverage begins with periodicals published in March 1993. Abstracts range from 50 to 300 words and describe the content and scope of the source articles. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.
CINAHL Plus with Full Text
- This database provides subject and keyword searching capabilities to specialized articles from more than 620 nursing & allied health journals. Evidence-based Care Sheets and health-related pamphlets are also included. Full text articles may be printed from the computer screen or emailed.
JSTOR
- This archive provides access to back issues of more than 500 scholarly journals spanning many disciplines. This is not a current issues database; typically there is a gap from 1 to 5 years between the most recently published journal issue and the back issues available in JSTOR. Articles can be searched by key word. Retrieved articles appear as high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed and printed. Not available from Off-Campus.

- A collection of encyclopedias and specialized reference volumes, in ebook format, for multidisciplinary research. The diverse subject areas from which the volumes have been chosen include: Arts, Literature, Biography, Sciences, and Social Sciences. These reference materials, originally published in print format, are now accessible electronically and can be searched by keyword, article title, or subject. Articles may be printed or e-mailed.

- This electronic library is a searchable collection of more than 6,100 full-text versions of published books. Sources include reference books, scholarly monographs, fiction, and non-fiction. Searches can be done within a particular title or performed across hundreds of titles.
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center- This database draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources to provide a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.
CQ Researcher- Especially useful in gathering in-depth information on topics of current social, economic, environmental, and political interest, this database is a collection of the issues of the CQ Researcher from 1991 to the present. The CQ Researcher is published each week and each publication, usually some 20+ pages in length, provides an comprehensive and objective overview of a single topic as well as a detailed analysis, a pro-con argument, and an annotated bibliography suggesting further research.
Issues and Controversies- Current issues database that provides objective analysis of opposing points of view on topics of current and historical interest. Articles are full text and searchable by keyword. More than 300 topics are included with coverage beginning in Sept. 1995. The database can be searched by subject and all articles may be printed from the computer screen or e-mailed.
Issues and Controversies in American History- Examining a wide range of topics in American History, this database combines authoritative, factual accounts with in-depth explanations of opposing viewpoints concerning contentious issues in American history. Searchable by subject, this database provides quick access to timelines, biographies, images, charts, historical texts, and interviews. Primary documents are included which give the points of view on all sides of debates as they were articulated at the time. Information may be printed or e-mailed.
SIRS Knowledge Source- This database contains thousands of full text articles exploring social, scientific, health, historic, economic, business, political and global issues. Articles are selected from more than 1,500 domestic and international sources published from 1989 to the present. Also included are selected current and historic government documents; landmark and recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions; and information about federal departments, agencies, and elected leaders. All articles are full text and may be printed from the computer screen or e-mailed.
Literature Resource Center- This database provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. The entries cover more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors. Articles may be printed from the computer screen or e-mailed.
MagillOnLiteraturePlus- This database is composed of approximately 35,000 critical analyses of individual works of literature, 6,500 biographical articles, more than 1,000 images, and a glossary of 1,310 literary terms. Additionally the database contains editorially reviewed critical essays, brief plot summaries, extended character profiles, and detailed setting discussions covering works by more than 8,500 long and short fiction writers, poets, dramatists, essayists, and philosophers. The biographical essays cover 2,500 most studied authors and up-to-date lists of each author's principal works and current secondary bibliographies. In addition, 395 comprehensive genre-driven overview essays provide details about important literary genres, time periods, and national literatures.
Daily Life Online- Combines two databases, "Daily Life Through History" and " World Cultures Today". Provides cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural information especially useful to students researching in the fields of anthropology, English, geography, history, languages, political science, psychology, religion, and sociology. Sources include books, specialized encyclopedia articles, and primary documents. Searching capabilities include three browsing options: chronological, geographical and topical. Information may be printed.
CountryWatch- Provides country specific geopolitical information on the 191 countries of the world. Includes a collection of political and thematic maps as well as statistical data.
AnthroSource- Developed by the American Anthropological Association (AAA), this database provides citations to journal articles in the field of anthropological research. Included are the full text of articles appearing in current issues of such journals as American Anthropologist, American Ethnologist, Anthropology and Education Quarterly, and Medical Anthropology Quarterly. In addition to current publications, indexing includes archives of all AAA journals. Searching is done by key words/terms; author searching is also available. Please note, the Library does not currently subscribe to JSTOR.
ARTstor- This rich digital library includes more than 500,000 images from the areas of architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, design, and other forms of visual culture. Images are drawn world-wide from such sources as museums, archaeological teams, photo archives, slide collections, and art reference publishers. Descriptive information is given for the individual images. The mission of ARTstor is to assemble image collections across many time periods and cultures and to create an organized resource that supports the noncommercial use of images for research, teaching, and scholarship. Britannica Online- An electronic version of the Encyclopaedia Britannica that includes more that 121,000 articles along with maps and multimedia. Also available is the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus.

CollegeSource- CollegeSource Online features over 18,083 college catalogs which are reproduced cover-to-cover. The colleges and universities include 2-year, 4-year, graduate and professional schools throughout the United States and selected countries. Searches can be conducted using various criteria such as tuition, enrollment, major or field of study, etc.
