Child Development Center
Moorpark College has a Child Development Center program available for children of registered students. This facility is located in the Child Development Center Building on campus.
For a fee, schedules may be arranged, as space permits, for a minimum of 2 half-day sessions to a maximum of 5 day sessions. Arrangements can be made for early morning supervision before class, lunch and extended day care for the afternoon. You will need to make plans well in advance of the current semester.
The Child Development Center (CDC) offers a comprehensive childcare program for pre-schoolers and toddlers of Moorpark College students, staff, faculty and the community. This program enhances the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of children through age appropriate educational and enrichment programs including science, writing and the arts.
| The CDC is licensed by the State of California as a service to Moorpark College students for childcare needs while providing a laboratory experience for the students majoring in Child Development. |
The CDC follows the Moorpark College school calendar. The Fall semester begins in mid-August and ends with winter break in December. The Spring semester begins in mid-January and ends in mid-May. The center also observes the college holiday schedule, in addition to being closed for the CAEYC Conference for staff development each Spring.
